Don’t settle for ordinary.
*Daruri was born from a belief: coffee should never be ordinary.
Rooted in Indonesia, founder Cynthia grew up close to one of the world’s most diverse and expressive coffee cultures. Yet beyond its origins, much of this extraordinary coffee remains misunderstood or overlooked.
*Daruri exists to change that.
We work from the ground up - from fields to fermentation to final extraction. Every batch is carefully tasted. Nothing over-extracted. Nothing underdeveloped. We honour the terroir, allowing each coffee to express its true character.
We’re explorers. Meticulous about quality. Obsessive about flavour.
We roast coffee that makes you pause.
That makes you curious.
That makes you walk a little further for your morning cup.
Because great coffee isn’t a luxury.
It’s a necessity.
*Daruri (or Daruri/Daruriyyun) is a word, originating from Arabic, meaning "necessary."

Why Indonesia?
Indonesia is one of the world’s largest coffee producers, but its significance goes far beyond volume. This is a region defined by diversity. Of landscape. Of process. Of flavour.
From volcanic highlands to humid rainforests, Indonesia produces coffees that are bold, complex and often unexpected, shaped by terroir unlike anywhere else in
the world. Yet despite this richness, many of these coffees remain overlooked in the global specialty scene.
At Daruri, we exist to change that, bringing these origins into focus and giving them the platform they deserve.
Climates & coffees
Stretching across more than 17,000 islands, Indonesia’s geography creates a remarkable range of microclimates where coffee thrives.
Each region offers something special:
- Sumatra - deep, earthy, full-bodied profiles with unmistakable intensity
- Java & Bali - balanced cups with nuanced sweetness and structure
- Sulawesi - complex, layered coffees with floral and spicy notes
- Nusa Tenggara (Flores & beyond) - vibrant, clean and lifted
- Papua & emerging regions - bright, expressive and full of potential
Every island, every farm, every harvest tells a different story, contributing to one of the most diverse coffee landscapes in the world.
Coffee worth discovering
Despite its global scale, Indonesian coffee remains underrepresented on many menus. Its depth, diversity and character often overlooked.
We’re here to change that.
We source directly and thoughtfully, building transparent, long-term relationships with the people behind the coffee. We roast to reveal (not mask) the true character of each origin.
Every bag is an invitation…
To explore new flavours.
To understand where your coffee comes from.
To experience something beyond the familiar.
From the spice and depth of Sumatra to the brightness of Flores, our coffees reflect a region as rich in culture as it is in taste.
