Cafetière French Press

The Cafetière French Press method is a classic brewing method. 

The French Press is easy to use and does not require paper or any other specific equipment.  It can be highly personalised as you can adjust the grind size, amount of water used and how long you steep the coffee for.  

Grind size: Coarse- similar size as sea salt grains

Weight of ground coffee: 17g 

Volume of water: 250ml

Best freshly ground but if you don't have a grinder we are happy to do it for you!

  1. Boil the kettle and leave to rest for 1 minute (93C). 
  2. Put the ground coffee in the bottom of the French Press. 
  3. Pour the water and stir to make sure all the ground coffee is in the water. 
  4. Leave to steep for 4 minutes. 
  5. Scoop the ground coffee from the top of the surface. 
  6. Push the plunger down and serve.
